2016 People's Choice: Ms. Green's Green Beans by Renee Lowery

SlowExposures Photography Festival

R.F. Strickland Center

Featuring work by: Various Artists

SlowExposures celebrates its 15th annual festival featuring photography of the contemporary rural American South. Pike County, Georgia (60 minutes south of Hartsfield Jackson International Airport) welcomes visitors from all over the U.S. to experience over a dozen shows--all housed in 19th century buildings that reference it's past as a major cotton-producing region of the Lower Piedmont. Our 2017 Jurors, Arnika Dawkins and John N. Wall will choose the Main Show in Concord. They will be joined by Jeff Rich, our 2017 Juror for the PopUp Tour, seven individual shows located around the Courthouse Square in Zebulon. The images from "Inspired Georgia" the award-winning publication of the Georgia Council for the Arts and Georgia Humanities will hang at the Whiskey Bonding Barn in Molena. Other satellite shows include work by Doug Eng and the 2017 SlowE Artists in Residence, Claudia Smigrod and David McCarty. Visit our website at www.slowexposures for more events, times, and locations.
