This powerful exhibition opens Saturday, October 7th at 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM at the Westside Cultural Arts Center. Joseph Guay explores the two sides and battles of our sociological and political climate with his new body of work titled "DUEL // DUAL"... Elements of the exhibition include photographs and sculptures diving into the production and disarmament of weapons; paintings made from motor oil, shattered high-rise glass and gunpowder dealing with terrorism and the alternative reasons for war; sculptures created from live round ammunition and handguns revealing the hidden truths of consumer protection and fear; and "The Border Wall" public art installation created from steel and concrete reaching 40 feet x 16 feet, examining the sociological and economic effects created by expanding the US / Mexico border wall.
