The Time is Right – Celebrating the unsung heroes of Atlanta working for justice

Center for Civil and Human Rights

Featuring work by: Various Artists

“The time is always right to do what is right.” – Martin Luther King

Throughout the galleries at the Center For Civil and Human Rights, you'll find content regarding historic luminaries, people who have given their lives in the pursuit of freedom and justice. However, since the museum opened in 2014, the staff has learned that the world is full of lesser-known heroes; everyday people who put in blood, sweat, and tears to power the movements of those aforementioned luminaries.

#weloveatl and the CCHR presents a platform for those stories, to share them with the general public, and gain a real-world window into the experiences of disparate peoples all striving for similar goals.

Over several months, local photographers have interviewed and photographed these unsung heroes. Their stories and portraits will be part of a multimedia projection on the exterior of CCHR with an accompanying exhibition. An event where the museum becomes a giant theater and these amazing people become the stars.
